Data Entry

Data Entry is often a tedious and time-consuming process when handled manually. Kofax's Ascent software reduces manual data entry to a minimum. By using Automatic Data Capture (or Automatic Document Capture as it is also called), information from forms or documents is automatically captured, interpreted and transferred into any computer system. This automatic data entry is conducted in two ways. ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) allows Kofax's Ascent software to recognize handwritten characters while OCR (Optical Character Recognition) deals with machine print. Automatic data entry enables enormous savings in time and money when entering forms and documents into a computer system. It also reduces human errors to a minimum and thus increases the data quality.
